- When CC0 comes back empty
- The material comes from the Internet Archive and Wikimedia Commons. The search allows fifteen seconds per file and forty-five in all; if nothing arrives the button reads CC0 0, and if neither source can be reached it reads CC0 ×, returning to normal after a few seconds. When files do arrive but one source is down, IA× or WM× follows the count, and ! if both are down. This depends on the network and on the sources themselves, so pressing again later often works.
- SEED / RND
- Change the seed, or re-roll the sliders along with it.
- The eight shapes along the top
- These are the effects. Press to switch one on or off, drag sideways to set how strongly it acts. The short line beneath each shape shows the present amount.
- What each effect does
- From the left: STT holds and repeats one slice taken at the head of a beat; FLT is a filter that keeps only the lower register; REV is reverb; CRS coarsens the quantisation; DLY is a delay of two or three beats; FLG is a flanger; GAT chops the level in time with the beat; RNG is a ring modulator.
- PAL
- Tap to change the palette; press and hold for the per-track editor.
- Sliders
- DEN density / GLCH grain / STUT repeat / SPCE space / COMP compression / HI treble / BPM tempo.
